Greece/Japan Winter Exchange Info & Sign-Ups

Welcome to the Greece/Japan Winter Exchange! Please read all the following information before signing up here, and feel free to spread the word to your friends and any other Greece/Japan fans. More participants = more Giripan ♥!
So what is this "winter exchange" about?: It's a fic/art exchange for people who'd like to write and/or draw for the relationship of Greece and Japan from Axis Powers Hetalia, and also meant as an acknowledgement of sorts of the upcoming birthdays of Greece and Japan during this winter season (Feb. 3 and Feb. 11, respectively).
How does this fic/art exchange work?: It's essentially in a Secret Santa format - you create a fanwork for someone, and you receive one in return. More specifically, every participant will give a list of prompts that they would like to see done for Greece and Japan. Once everyone has submitted their prompts, I will assign each one of them to write/draw for another participant, based on their stated writing/drawing preferences, and they will select a prompt from their assigned person's list to do.
Do I have to join this community to be able to participate in the exchange?: Yes, you do need to join this community to be able to post your fill on here. You are also strongly recommended to keep this community on watch or at least check back here once in a while to be aware of any mod posts I may make in the future.
What can I request for?: The only basic rule is that your prompts have to be about the relationship between Greece and Japan. It's fine to submit prompts for them in a platonic light, but they should not ask for Greece and/or Japan to be romantically paired up with any characters other than each other. You can include other characters and pairings in your prompts, but the prompts must still have Greece and Japan's relationship as their main focus.
What are the deadlines I should be aware of?: (EDITED) The deadline for signing up for the exchange is Saturday, January 16, 2010. Assignments should be sent out by Monday, and you can post your fill at any time during the month of February up until midnight Central Time at Feb. 28.
How long/good should my fill be?: There are no hard and fast requirements for fills, but a drabble-length fanfic or a fanart that looks like it was sketched in five minutes on notebook paper most likely won't make a good gift to someone else. Please do exercise common sense and judgment when fulfilling your recipient's prompt.
How do I post my fill?: I'll put up the format you'll post with shortly before February 1, but you just post it directly to this community. You may put it under an lj-cut or link off community to another website (e.g. your writing journal, fanfiction.net, etc).
What if I need to drop out?: Then please notify me as soon as possible by commenting here or PMing me, so that I can arrange a pinch hitter for your recipient.
Okay, I've read all the above and I'm ready to sign up now!: Great! Just continue on to the sign-up section below.
